Notifications
Medkit lets you know when something involving you happens, like someone starting to follow you or commenting on your profile. It all arrives at the bell in the top bar.
Where they are
You'll see a bell in the top bar, next to your profile picture. When you have unread notices, a badge with the number appears. Tapping it opens the panel with your most recent notifications.
What it notifies you about
The bell gathers the things that involve you directly: when someone interacts with you (starts following you, comments on your profile, or replies to a comment of yours) and when Medkit needs to remind you of something about your account.
Tapping a notification takes you to the related place: the profile of whoever wrote to you, or the part of Medkit the notice mentions.
Read and unread
Unread notifications are marked with a dot and a slightly highlighted background. As soon as you open the bell, they're all marked as read and the badge goes back to zero. Notifications are kept, so you can reopen the panel and keep looking at them. If you want to get rid of one, tap the X to its right to dismiss it.
They're not the dashboard alerts
The bell's notifications are things that happen to you: someone follows you, comments, replies. The dashboard alerts are a different thing and live somewhere else: they show at the bottom of your dashboard and flag something that needs your attention, like the trash about to be emptied or a deck piling up too many cards for review.
